Deity Cards have been used in Tibetan Buddhism since at least the 13th century. This particular set of cards was designed as a way to communicate with the Tibetan Deities. Pick a card and then go to the booklet to receive a message from the Deity. Pick a second card to get an elaboration of the message from the first card. The booklet also provides a description of each of the deities. The cards can also be used as visualization aids in meditation practice.
